Promotion requirements for class of 2021+

Students obtain overall 150 credits in middle school

• 6th Grade: 50 Credits out of a possible 60 credits
• 7th Grade: 50 Credits out of a possible 60 credits
• 8th Grade: 50 Credits out of a possible 60 credits
• Total: 150 Credits out of a possible 180 credits

CEREmony participation requirements

In order to participate in the culmination ceremony, students must complete...

• create and present a digital portfolio
• have a cumulative 2.0 grade point average
• have no more than 2 Unsatisfactory Marks in Cooperation in the 8th Grade
• have no more than 2 Unsatisfactory Marks in Work Habits in the 8th Grade
• have a minimum of 96% Attendance Rate
• Have no serious infractions of NOW Academy/LAUSD policies
