Precision to Expression: The ability to explain, describe, and demonstrate an understanding of content standards and objectives by using academic language, proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.


Relevance: The ability to understand meanings and connections between subjects in the classroom to themselves and the world around them. The ability to ask, “ Why does this matter?” or “ How does this connect to the issue or discussion?”


Innovation: The ability to view and create new ways of expressing or thinking about concepts. 


Metacognition: The ability to reflect and consider concepts, themes, and subjects from more than one perspective. 


Evidence: The ability to support or provide evidence for an argument, thesis, solution or point of view.
